IRAQ PULLOUT REJECTED AGAIN!!!

George Orwell once said: "In our time political speech and writing are largely the defense of the indefensible." This simply states this individual's feelings on the repeated attempts by the cut-and-run Democrats in the United States Senate who insist on pulling our troops out of Iraq. Based on the latest vote of 13 Yeas and 86 Nays, my only conclusion is that these folks are just learning impared! Quite frankly, enough has been said here! The numbers speak for themselves. SENATE VOTE ON MARRIAGE AMENDMENT SET FOR WEDNESDAY--TAKE ACTION NOW!!

The Pennsylvania Senate is scheduled to vote on HB 2381 on Wednesday June 21, 2006. As you may know the Judiciary Committee reported the MPA with a weakening amendment that would allow for civil unions in the Commonwealth. THIS IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE. The original language of HB 2381, which passed the House of Representatives by a 2 to 1 margin must be restored.

Every Pennsylvanian who is concerned about the sacred institution of Marriage is encouraged to contact their State Senator as soon as possible and urge him/her to support the House passed version of the Marriage Protection Amendment.

CIVIL UNIONS ARE NOT MARRIAGE

Taking a page from George Orwell's 1984, the PA Senate Judiciary Committee engaged in their own version of "newthink" and "doublespeak," by amending House Bill 2381 (the Marriage Protection Amendment) to essentialy allow for counterfeit marriage relationships, and ultimately opening the door to activist judges and/or future legislatures legalizing full-blown same-sex marriage in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Regardless of what the GLBT "community" says about same-sex marriage, this debate it is not about having the same benefits and rights as traditional married couples, it is about legitimizing unacceptable and irresponsible behavior--pure and simple. So let's drop the equal rights pretext and call this exactly what it is A SHAM!

The marriage relationship is more than a societal tradition, it is a sacred covenant that was ordained by God over 2000 years ago, and this is a concept that SSM advocates just do not grasp, and how can they when their very lifestyle is in direct disregard to God's Holy and Righteous Will.

The PA Senate will be voting on HB 2381 before the end of June, and it is imperitive that the original language, as passed by the House of Representatives be restored. The House passed version is as follows:

ยง 29. MARRIAGE: ONLY A MARRIAGE BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN SHALL BE VALID OR RECOGNIZED AS A MARRIAGE IN THIS COMMONWEALTH, AND NEITHER THE COMMONWEALTH NOR ANY OF ITS POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS SHALL CREATE OR RECOGNIZE A LEGAL UNION IDENTICAL OR SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO THAT OF MARRIAGE FOR UNMARRIED INDIVIDUALS.

Every citizen of Pennsylvania, whether you are a Christian, or just concerned about the downward spiral our society is in should contact their State Senator as soon as possible, and urge him/her to vote to restore the House passed language of HB 2381. To do less makes a mockery of a sacred institution.

IRS FLEXES ITS MUSCLES!!

"While the vast majority of charities and churches do not engage in politicking, an increasing number did take part in prohibited activities in the 2004 election cycle. The rule against political-campign intervention by charities and churches is long established. We are stepping up our efforts to enforce it." These are the ominous words of IRS Commissioner Mark Everson, and they should sound a warning alarm to every American, whether you are a Christian or not.

Simply stated: Liberty dies when a Government seeks to silence the voice of dissent!

PENNSYLVANIA HOUSE PASSES MARRIAGE AMENDMENT, WHILE THE U.S. SENATE FUMBLES THE BALL--BADLY!

On June 6, 2006, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by a vote of 137-60 took the first step on the journey of protecting the traditional and sacred institution of Marriage. Unfortunately the United States Senate cannot say the same.

In the midst of several attempts to amend and even to re-commit House Bill 2381, "The Marriage Protection Amendment," finally the State House, Republicans and Democrats alike took a firm and decisive stand in favor of traditional family values, and a sacred institution that was ordained by Almighty God 2000 years ago.

The proposed Amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution is now pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and a vote has been scheduled for June 13, 2006. It behooves every Christian to contact the Committee Members and urge them to give a favorable vote to House Bill 2381. If we do not take a stand for what God has ordained WHO WILL?? THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW!

IS GOD JUDGING AMERICA THROUGH NATURAL DISASTERS??

Last September, I posted a commentary on another "blog site" asking whether natural disasters were judgments from God because of the sinfulness of America, and it is rather amazing, or should I say unfathomable that some folks do not grasp this simple concept.

What is clear, at least to this individual, is that over the past 5 or 6 decades the United States has drifted further and further from the principles and ldeals of our Founding Fathers, and by so doing America has also turned its back on Almighty God. So one has to wonder and ask: Just how does God get the attention of a wandering Nation?

What continues to confuse me is how quick most are to point out God's unconditional Love for humanity, but will constantly ignore His judgment.

I am confused even further when I hear folks, who call themselves Christians say that equating natural disasters to judgments from God implies that He is in some way doing evil, and this is not only ludicrous, but it is the worst kind of blasphemy I can think of.

George Mason, who is referred to as the Father of the Bill of Rights said: "As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, so they must be in this, by an inevitable chain of causes and effects. Providence punishes national sins by national calamities." This is about as clear as clear can be.

If our Founding Fathers understood this simple message, it is difficult for me to understand why this concept escapes the understanding of most folks.

Individually we will all stand before God to give an account of our lives, however this will not be the case for the United States or any other country of the world.

America has strayed from the principles of our Founders and more importantly they have strayed from God's Will, and make no mistake about it--HE IS TRYING TO GET OUR ATTENTION! BUT I MUST ASK AGAIN--IS ANYONE LISTENING??
